Jamal is a first-year Civil Engineering major at the University at Buffalo, minoring in Physics, and currently holds a 3.9 GPA with Dean’s List honors. He has direct tutoring experience at UB, where he has worked one-on-one with students in Chemistry I, Calculus I & II, and Physics I, helping them improve comprehension, study habits, and exam performance. His STEM background includes advanced coursework in calculus, physics, chemistry, and AutoCAD, along with industry experience as a Civil Engineering intern where he completed OSHA and ACI training and learned real-world engineering applications. In high school, Jamal served as Senior Class Representative and Varsity Track & Field Co-Captain, developing leadership, communication, and mentoring skills. He also has volunteer experience at local libraries and youth programs, highlighting his dedication to helping others learn and grow. With a calm, encouraging teaching style and strong quantitative reasoning skills, Jamal is an excellent tutor for Algebra, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, study skills, and general STEM support. He specializes in breaking down difficult concepts into simple, understandable steps while building students’ confidence and problem-solving abilities.
